In November 2016, I travelled to Chicago in the excellent company of James and Thom Elliot, the brothers behind Pizza Pilgrims. Our mission? Take down every possible deep dish pizza we could find. And, to the amazement (possibly horror) of several Uber drivers, we did it... and then moved on to some of the city's other pies. And beers. And hot dogs. I then wrote about it - between salads - for Foodism.
